Francie Shimaya has studied and practiced various meditative health systems, such as zen philosophy, qigong, and yoga, from her early twenties. She began studying Sheng Zhen Meditation from Master Li Junfeng and his daughter Li Jing in late 2003. Liana Wheatley lives and works in Austin, Texas. Upon returning to Austin in 2008, Liana attended a Sheng Zhen Healing class with Kay Wentworth, which has changed her life. She has studied Sheng Zhen forms with Master Li and other certified teachers since 2008, incorporating the loving philosophy of Sheng Zhen into her role as an oncology nurse. In 2013 she obtained her Sheng Zhen Teacher Certification, and is a member of the Education Committee for the Sheng Zhen Society of the Americas. Liana is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Holistic Nurses Association, and has published articles and given numerous presentations about Sheng Zhen for nursing organizations and other caregivers.
